With a view to promoting a healthy diet and lifestyle, the Group supported a number of activities and programmes organised by various professional bodies and charitable organisations during the year.
The Group continued to support university education through various education bursaries. Vitasoy Hong Kong donated to local charitable organizations, including the Corporate and Employee Contribution Programme of the Community Chest of Hong Kong. We also took part in the Oxfam Trailwalker 2005 for fundraising.
We sponsored a number of programmes related to health and teenagers, including fun fairs of secondary schools, orientation camps of universities, award schemes for promoting healthy eating at school and school charitable walkathons. We also supported major fundraising events staged by organizations such as Hong Kong World Vision, Arts with the Disabled Association of Hong Kong, Salvation Army Hong Kong, etc.. Vitasoy USA donated soymilk to Hurricane Katrina Relief and Food Banks.
The Group was a participant in the School-Business Partnership Programme of the Education and Manpower Bureau of HKSAR Government to enhance students' understanding of the business sector by giving school talks and arranging student tours and work attachments. |
