Consuming more plant-based food isn’t just great for your health, but also better for our planet. They have a lower carbon footprint and use less natural resources to produce than meat and other animal-based foods. ^
Eating more plant foods will increase the intake of important nutrients such as heart-healthy unsaturated fats, dietary fibre, vitamins, essential amino acids, minerals and antioxidants.
Going plant-based is an effective way to control weight and prevent chronic diseases such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, hypertension and certain types of cancer.
To address health challenges associated with sedentary lifestyles and guide our sustainability journey, Vitasoy established a Two-Pronged Framework in FY2015/16 to better integrate sustainability with the nature of our business and to enable us to set targets that support the sustainable growth of the Company.
Vitasoy has been offering plant-based beverages since our establishment in 1940. Over the years, providing a sustainable source of nutrition and contributing to healthier lifestyles have remained core focuses of our business. Through ongoing R&D, we continue to build a portfolio of products that support consumers’ needs for a healthy, nutritious diet.
